Brinton Vision – Lasik St. Louis

See the Good in St. Louis

Give someone a new start in 2021 – Brinton Vision to donate
LASIK to a deserving member of the St. Louis community

2020 was an unusual year for many. Quarantines, masks, and social distancing made it unforgettable. At Brinton Vision we have one goal, no matter the time of year: to give the priceless gift of sight. Seeing patients’ lives transformed on a daily basis makes us smile. As we usher in a new year, we invite you to nominate someone you feel is deserving of clear, natural eyesight free of their glasses and contact lenses. Your nominee could be a teacher, a community leader, a healthcare provider, a parent, or someone who has made a difference in your life. Tell us what they have done for you or for our community.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Submit your nomination on the form below by 5 p.m. on January 16, 2021.
  2. Tell us about the individual you are nominating. How will seeing the world through clear eyes improve their life? Minimum 250 words.
  3. On January 20, 2021, the Brinton Vision staff will select seven stories from those submitted.  These selected candidates will come in for our 90-minute Brinton Vision Ocular Analysis to determine if they are a candidate for LASIK or one of six LASIK alternatives. If one of the candidates is not eligible, a runner-up candidate who is eligible will be chosen.
  4. On February 2, 2021, the eligible candidates’ stories will each be posted in a separate post on Brinton Vision’s Facebook page, facebook.com/brintonvision. This post on facebook.com/brintonvision will be referred to as the “original BV post.” Anyone is welcome to share the original BV post to their own pages.
  5. The winning candidate will be determined as follows. Any “reaction” (like, love, care, etc.) to the original BV post on facebook.com/brintonvision will be counted as one vote. Any “share” of the original BV post from facebook.com/brintonvision will also be counted as one vote. Individuals are welcome to comment on posts, but a comment is not counted as a vote. Reacting to or sharing an already-shared version of the original BV post (so a post shared on another Facebook page) is not counted as a vote either — this is done for practical purposes, because some of these pages have privacy settings that would prevent our staff from seeing and counting these votes. On February 16, 2021, at 12noon CST, our staff will take screen shots of facebook.com/brintonvision showing how many reactions (votes) each post received. The candidate whose post has the most votes will be announced as the winner and will receive a LASIK procedure with all time and services donated by members of the Brinton Vision staff.

2020 was a very busy year for LASIK at Brinton Vision as mask wear drove foggy glasses, dry contacts, and frustrations with poor eyesight. After a good year for our business, our staff voted together to do this — to give back to our St. Louis community that has been so good to us. Thank you for helping us recognize these amazing people!
