Andrew waited 18 years to get SBK. Now his only regret is that he didn’t do it sooner. Find out about his experience at Brinton Vision, and LASIK in St. Louis, Missouri.

Hi, my name’s Andrew McDowell, from St. Louis, Missouri and I had my LASIK eye surgery in St. Louis with Brinton Vision.

I was tired of wearing glasses. I was tired of having them fog up. I like to ride my motorcycle. I was tired of putting on my helmet and then fighting to put the glasses in inside my helmet. I had just had it. My wife had had LASIK surgery and she was kinda the push that pushed me into getting it done. They fog up on ya when you get sweaty and they’re a nuisance. You know, just to have something on your face all day long gets old. I’m 36 now and I’ve worn glasses for the last 18 years. I got them shortly after I started driving ’cause I noticed I had a hard time picking up street signs at a distance until I was too close to the street and it wasn’t safe to make the turn.

You know, I looked them [Brinton Vision] up online and they had great reviews from other customers, and that was the big push. I actually called up here to set up my appointment, and on my first phone call, I got Jason Brinton. He explained the whole process to me on the phone and I just immediately felt comfortable with him.

Top notch. Nothin’ but the best. Great, clean sterile atmosphere, everybody was super nice. Couldn’t be happier. You know I had networked with some other people that had the surgery and some of their doctors had since retired and I never really had positive, I never had a lot of feedback, so I just kinda did the research myself. We got here. They helped answer questions. The actual procedure I think took all of a half an hour. Went home that night. Slept for a couple hours and I was watching TV by the end of the night. There was a little discomfort but they kept me informed on what the discomfort was gonna be — and it was nothing bad. On a scale of one to 10, I’d say maybe a one or a two.

I don’t do good with people close to my eyes. I actually don’t even do really good putting in eye drops. So I was very nervous about the actual procedure and thinking well, what if something doesn’t go right — this, that and the other, but after working with the staff, and airing that out, they really helped keep me calm. And the actual procedure, you literally don’t even feel it.

I waited 18 years before I did the surgery, and after I did it, no regrets whatsoever. My only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner. Thank you so much and I wish I did this sooner.
